Professional Qualifying Programme in Psychological Type
and related instruments, including the MajorsPTI ™ and FSDA™
This exciting
programme provides training in the theory and
professional application of Jungian Psychological Type Theory and
two related instruments, the Majors Personality Type Indicator™ and
the Function-Skills Development Assessment™ These instruments are
both based on the psychological type theory of Carl Jung and Isabel
Myers. Together they provide a way of identifying the personality
type of an individual and also assessing the level of personality
development.
The
MajorsPTI™
was developed by Mark Majors. It gives the same popular four letter
type code as the MBTI®, indicating a person’s natural personality
type. The MajorsPTI™ asks 52 questions and uses graduated response
scales (somewhat like me; very like me). This instrument can be used
in exactly the same way as the MBTI® in working with individuals and
groups for personal or organization development.
The
FSDA™
designed by Gary and Margaret Hartzler, is a 40 item questionnaire.
It assesses how well a person currently use each of these eight
psychological functions and also identifies possible ‘blindspots’
and areas for development. These eight psychological functions are
the foundation of the Jungian personality types.
Participants will also be introduced to the following instruments:
Psychological Type and Stress
Indicator (PTSI),
a new Australian instrument that identifies personality type and
some of the causes of stress related to one’s personality type. It
gives the same four-letter type code as the MajorsPTI (ENFP, ISTJ
etc. This comes as a paper version, scored with templates.
Majors Personality Type Elements
(Step II). This on-line instrument also gives the four letter
type code and, as well, gives results on 32 sub-scales. These
subscales give more detail about the different personality
characteristics, and therefore identify some of the differences we
find in people of the same type.
The Majors Occupational
Environment MeasureTM, an instrument developed
by Mark Majors that evaluates individual differences and the
person/environment fit.
Note:
All of these instruments are based on the same theory and the 16
types described by Carl Jung and Isabel Myers. The all use the
familiar four letter type code (ENFP, ISTJ etc). The theory doesn’t
change, but you have a choice of instruments.
