Dynamics of Personality Type: Understanding and Applying Jung's Cognitive Process

Understanding and Applying Jung's Cognitive Processes.

This book takes you deeper on your journey of self-discovery. It explains how you access and gather information. These are the two basic processes you use every minute of every day in every situation. They are your ways of "knowing" that sustain you. They are also the tools you have to help you step outside the limits of your inborn tendencies and the environmental forces that can unconsciously shape your behaviour. This book requires your active participation to unlock the dynamics behind the pattern of your own individuality. Use it to help you achieve your life's goal-the complete expression of you.

NEW: Facets of Type
Activities to Develop the Type Preferences

- Gary Hartzler and Margaret T Hartzler

"Practical, effective, straightforward. Margaret and Gary Hartzler take the confusion out of using the MBTI Step II facets with elegant simplicity. Their wealth of knowledge in the field is cleverly portrayed by their careful choice of words, and you can tell they had fun writing it! Facets of Type provides easily read directions and questions to enhance personal and interpersonal creativity and effectiveness. A welcome resource whose time has come."

Gary Hartzler started his work in type as a manager and organization development consultant in 1976. He was on the founding board of directors for the Association for Psychological Type as the vice-president for management and organization development. He was a member of the Myers' J-team, the research team that first defined the subscales and facets of type. Gary has authored or co-authored six books and many articles on the use of type development.

Margaret Hartzler began her work on type in 1977 doing research for her masters and Ph.D. that involved type. With her husband, Gary Hartzler, and Katharine Myers, she formed an organization in 1983 that developed and offered the first publicly advertised Professional MBTI Qualifying Program.

Since then she has facilitated more qualifying programs around the world than any other person. She has seventeen years of experience designing and delivering a variety of training programs using type and has authored or co-authored seven books about how to use type theory. 48 pp

In the Grip

N. Quenk

Owning your own Shadow

R. Johnson

"To honor and accept one's own shadow is a profound religious discipline. It is whole-making and thus holy and the most important experience of a lifetime." - from the Introduction

This powerful work from the acclaimed analyst and best-selling author of He, She and We explores our need to "own" our own shadow-the term Jung used to decisive the dark, unlit part of the ego. In this rich work, Robert Johnson guides us through an exploration of the shadow: what it is, how it originates, and how it interacts and is made through the process of acculturation.

Johnson asserts that until we have undertaken the task of accepting and honouring the shadow within us, we cannot be balanced or whole, for what is hidden never goes away, but merely- and often painfully-turns up in unexpected places.
